System Overload

Well, it's certainly not what you would expect but, today I wanted to talk about overloading a washer (See the article by Domestic + General).

It's quite a serious issue. When your drum is spinning at say, 1,400rpm (revolutions per minute) can you imagine the strain on it. Never mind when it's not even overloaded.

We can't stress enough how important it is not to overload your washing machine. You may want to save a little electricity or conditioner or an extra tablet but, in the long run, it will cost you more in parts and repairs.

If you have insurance and they find out, after tests, the reason for the failure, the insurance may void any claims. When you took your policy out, you would have accepted their terms and conditions and that would be working within the limits of the washing machine specification.

So, don't be tempted to save a few pence and over load the washer or it may cost you a lot more in the long run.
